"Acute injury management"

Hi all,there's going to be a talk given by Mindy Devey from 206 physiotherapists on "Acute injury management" at the Upper Sixways suite on Thursday 25th September. Start time 7.15 for 7.30pm. The talk is open to any managers, coaches, parents and (older) players from the mini and junior section so hopefully we can have a good turnout. Injuries are common to all sports but getting quick recovery is good for the player, team and club, hence my interest. It may go on to discuss pre-habilitation where we can encourage strengthening to avoid injury, and a possible contribution by Karen on head injuries. Hope to see you there, Ian Clarke

National 7's is being held at Lichfield RFC, Cooke Fields, Tamworth Road, Lichfield, Staffs, WS14 9JE this Saturday 10th May. Squad size is limited and the following players have been selected; Cara, Brooke, Sophie, Annabel A, Becky B, Flo, Connie, Sarah, Laura, Aleisha, Holly. The organisers require that I have a signed consent form from a parent of every player involved so please can I sort this on Wednesday evening. They also require signed forms by anyone planning to take any photos etc. We should aim to be there for 9.30am which is when registration opens. The tournament begins at 10.30am. Congratulations to our Worcester U15's Girls team who were unbeaten at this 7 aside tournament held at Merchant Taylors School, Northwood, London on Sunday. They thoroughly deserve their winners medals. A big thank-you to Kim and all the parents who made the journey, braved the weather and helped with all the jobs involved in supporting the team.

Herts 7's Sunday 20th October.

The organisers would like us to arrive after 9.30 but first matches will be at 10:30 –draw will be available at registration, aiming to finish by 4pm. This means we should aim to arrive 9.30 to 9.45. It should take just under 2 hours to get to Northwood from Worcester. Food and drinks will be available to buy throughout the day, including a hot option in the afternoon – (post-match meals are not provided). Ian

Next Sunday 20th October we are sending a squad to play Herts 7's. The squad selected is Sophie Richards, Annabel Andrews, Rebecca Batchelor, Sarah Kilmister, Connie Bradshaw, Brooke Clarke, Cara Clarke, Flo Thompson, Hollie Nichols, Annabel Maxted. Please let Kim, Max or myself know if you cannot play and be prepared for whatever weather may turn up, ie layers, waterproofs and change of clothes.
