Rugby Training

Rugby Training on Sunday has been moved earlier to an 11am start. The friendly against Exeter away on 15th of September has been cancelled, we are trying to arrange an alternative fixture and will let you know if we have any success. And finally, just to remind people that Rugby 7's is being played at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on the 26th and 27th July next year. Ticket availability is good and the prices are very reasonable and include public transport to the venues in Glasgow. First day prices are for adults £15 to £25 with half price tickets available for under 16's. Second (finals) day prices appear to range from £20 to £40 with half price for under 16's available for the £20 seats only. I think the cut off date is September 15th for application so if anyones interested they will have to act quickly. I'm checking with the club to see if WRFC has an allocation and will let you all know asap. Ian

Rugby Training day in Wells, Somerset

Dear all, this is to let you know of the following rugby training day; SRFU U15s and U18s Girls Skills Development Day to take place on Saturday 13 July 2012 at Wells RFC from 10:00 to 15:00.
Wells RFC are hosting the day and Worcester girls are invited.

The day is aimed at those who have played at county level but can also cater for newcomers.
The idea will be to give the girls some practical skills coaching at CB standard and to give those who have not yet taken part in the county set up, a taster of what to expect if they choose to put themselves forward next season.

They are hoping to have some girls from the Newport Gwent Dragons there, as well as Gwesyn Price-Jones who is head of Rugby Development for the NGD Women and Girls and who will take a key role in the coaching.

They intend to be concentrating on handling skills and running lines and will try to deliver a high quality day of skills coaching.
Please let me know if you would like to attend so I can pass on numbers to the organisers. Ian
